I chose to draw Juan Ponce de Leon because he explored and settled Puerto Rico, founding the colony's oldest settlement, Caparra, near what is now San Juan. He was also the first European to reach Florida. He was considered a hero, he treated everyone like his own family, he gave gold to the poor to help them out. This is why I chose Juan.
